Behind schedule，是比较规范的“晚点”的说法。如果说the train was late for 5 minutes，在
口语中也是可以的，相当于“火车迟到了5分钟”。但在下面这个句子中，用late就不太合适了：The project was nine months behind schedule. 这个项目拖期了9个月。
