DHAKA, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh and India will sign about a dozen of bilateral agreements during Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's four-day official visit to India beginning Thursday.

This is Hasina's first visit to India after assuming office for the third consecutive term in January this year.

Foreign minister A.K. Abdul Momen said in a press briefing here on Wednesday that the Bangladeshi prime minister is set to leave for New Delhi on Thursday to attend the India Economic Summit of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

"We're supposed to sign 10 to 12 instruments."

The agreements on connectivity, technical cooperation, culture, trade and investment, among others, will be signed after the bilateral talks between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Oct. 5, the foreign minister said.

Momen said the entire gamut of bilateral relations will be discussed at the high-level meeting where Bangladesh will raise the contentious issues of border killings, Teesta river water-sharing and India's northeastern Assam state citizenship exercise known as the National Register of Citizens (NRC).
