RIO DE JANEIRO, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Former Real Madrid and Manchester City midfielder Robinho was on target as Santos were held to a 2-2 draw by Sport in Brazil's Serie A championship on Sunday.
Robinho struck from close range - his eighth goal from 20 matches this year - to give Santos the lead just before halftime at their Vila Belmiro stadium.
Joelinton equalized for the visitors, who went behind again after Worley's strike 20 minutes from time.
But Samuel Xavier netted three minutes into stoppage time to secure a point for Sport.
Meanwhile Palmeiras won their first match of the season with a 2-0 victory over Sao Paulo rivals Corinthians at the Itaquerao stadium.
Rafael Marques and Ze Roberto netted either side of halftime for the visitors.
In Porto Alegre, Internacional were held to a 0-0 draw by Sao Paulo at the Beira-Rio stadium.
Left-back Reinaldo was sent off just before the end for Sao Paulo when he received a second yellow card for a bad foul on midfielder Anderson.
