BUENOS AIRES, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- San Lorenzo on Sunday won its fourth consecutive match by defeating Boca Juniors in the 14th matchday of Argentina's Transicion Tournament.
Uruguayan player Martin Cauteruccio and Gonzalo Veron scored the two goals in the 51st and 56th minutes that led San Lorenzo to the victory, in the match played in "Nuevo Gasometro" stadium in Buenos Aires.
With this result, San Lorenzo reached 17 points and Boca 23, who has now few possibilities to win the tournament.
On the other hand, due to bad weather the game between Tigre (17) and Lanus (27) in the northern region of Greater Buenos Aires, was suspended. The score was 0-0 at the end of the first half.
Last Friday, Banfield (16) won 3-0 against Olimpo de Bahia Blanca (10).
In the matches played on Sunday, Godoy Cruz (14) was defeated 3-1 by Belgrano (16), Gimnasia (14) lost 1-0 to Racing (26), Quilmes (12) defeated Velez (20) 2-1 and Rosario Central (16) lost 2-0 against Atletico Rafaela (22).
