COPENHAGEN, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Two Chinese badminton players have entered the women's singles final at Yonex Denmark Open in central Denmark's Odense on Saturday, locking for gold and silver medals a day ahead of Sunday's final.
Sunday's final of women's singles will be between last year's winner Wang Yihan, seeded No. 3, and top seed Li Xuerui, both of China.
In her semifinals, Wang Yihan beat her compatriot Wang Shixian, seeded No. 2, in two straight sets 21-19, 21-12, while Li advanced into final after beating fourth seed Sung Ji-Hyun of South Korea with an easy victory of 21-17, 21-12.
Chinese men's singles Chen Long also locked a slot in the final after winning his semifinal on Saturday against Indian Kashyap Parupalli 21-16, 21-15. Chen will face in the final the winner between China's Tian Houwei and Wan Ho Son of South Korea.
