LONDON, April 26 (Xinhua) -- England's London and German city Munich have submitted bid to host the semifinals and final matches of Euro 2020, European football's governing body UEFA announced on Saturday.
UEFA announced in January, 2013 that 13 cities, each from one of their member associations, will co-host Euro 2020 matches, with each providing a single stadium for the 24-team tournament.
The matches of Euro 2020 will be split into 13 different packages, with 12 standard packages, including three group matches and one round of 16 or quarterfinals, and one package for the semifinals and the final.
A total of 19 stadiums in 19 cities officially submitted bid to host the tournament before the midnight Friday deadline with only Wembley Stadium in London or Munich's Allianz Arena bidding to host the semis and the final.
Euro 2020 host cities are to be chosen in September 2014 by UEFA.
