MILAN, March 2 (Xinhua) -- AC Milan head coach Clarence Seedorf insisted that he was happy with side's performance despite their 2-0 defeat to Juventus at home on Sunday.
The Milan side got the upper hand in the first half, but wasted some scoring chances in the first half, then came Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez's goals.
"I'd say it was a very good performance. We knew that we were facing a great side, but we imposed our tempo on the game and eliminated their strengths as much as possible," Seedorf said.
"Juve were able to sit back even more in the second half after taking the lead, but I am impressed with the growth of the team," he said.
He suggested that his players will become more confident as a result of their performance.
"We are on the right track and can play well against Atletico Madrid, Juventus and a good Sampdoria. That gives us confidence to continue the work," he added.
