BERLIN, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Bremen grabbed a late 3-2 win against Hannover meanwhile Andre Hahn's brace secured Augsburg a 2-1 win over ten men Mainz to close the German Bundesliga's 11th round on Sunday.
Bremen's Santiago Garcia scored a late decider against Hannover to round off a thrilling Northern derby.
Both sides staged a slow start but with 20 minutes on the clock the action on the pitch sparked, as Bremen's Fritz Clemens brought down Szabolcs Huszti to cause a penalty. The Hungarian stepped up to overcome Sebastian Mielitz from the spot at the 20th minute.
Only five minutes later, referee Thorsten Kienhoefer awarded Bremen a penalty as Hannover's Salif Sane fouled Eljero Elia inside the box. Thus, Aaron Hunt made no mistake to restore parity from the spot.
Despite Bremen's equalizer Hannover turned up to remain a threat for the hosts. However, Bremen grabbed the lead for the first time at the 38th minute when Cedrick Makiadi nodded home a cross by Zlatko Junuzovic against the run of the match.
It was a short-lived joy by Bremen as Hannover restored parity through Hiroki Sakai, whose strike from 25 meters surprised Mielitz, four minutes before the break.

Elsewhere, Augsburg broke the spell after five winless matches as Hahn hit twice to inflict Mainz the sixth loss of the season.
The 28,007 spectators at the SGL-Arena witnessed an evenly balanced game in which Augsburg controlled the ball against Mainz, which looked dangerous on fast breaks. Still, Mainz's Shinji Okazaki wasted the golden opportunity from inside the box when he fired into the arms of goalkeeper Marwin Hitz.
The hosts staged a better figure in front of Mainz goal area as Andre Hahn made use of Daniel Baier's long ball to beat Christian Wetklo from the edge of the box into the far post corner at the 27th minute.
Augsburg's Hahn was again in the thick of things when he utilized a pass into path by Tobias Werner to round Wetklo for the 2-0 lead from tight angle, four minutes into second half.
