JINAN, China, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- South Korean golfer Lee Chang-woo won the Asia-Pacific amateur championship held in eastern China's Longkou on Sunday with 3-under 281.
Japanese Shohei Hasegawa shot even par 284 to win the silver medal as the runner-up, which sends him into the final stage of British Open qualifying with Lee.
Lee continued his steady performance, shooting four birdies today. He finished with a 1-under 70 to win by three over Hasegawa.
"My dream came true at the moment of victory, it is a great honor for every golfer to play the Masters," said Lee.
China's Dou Zecheng ranked the fourth, shooting 3-over 287.
Dou who ranked second after three rounds, made many turnovers today. He made six bogeys and finished with 4-over 75. "I had a fine start today, but the bogeys in the last few holes made me lose the opportunity. I will try to improve myself and play well in the rest events of this year."
The defending champion Guan Tianlang from China ranked eighth, shooting 5-over 289.
A total of 118 golfers from 34 countries and regions attended this event.
