(BEIJING, June 26) -- Japan will meet Poland this weekend in Tokyo for the third weekend of the FIVB World League Intercontinental Round. This will be Japan's first match at home in the tournament after playing matches in China and Egypt.

Since 1996, Poland and Japan have played 16 Men's Volleyball matches, with Poland holding a dominant 15-1 record. Their last meeting was in 2006 when Poland beat Japan in straight sets at the FIVB World Championships.

Yamamoto Takahiro, Ishijima Yusuke and Koshikawa Yu, who helped Japan clinch a ticket to Beijing at the Final Olympic Qualification Tournament at the beginning of June, will be playing for the team for the first time in the tournament this weekend.
