1. immerse

vt.    浸没;施浸礼;沉迷…中,陷入;

[例句]Since then I've lived alone and immersed myself in my career.

自那以后,我一直一个人生活,全身心投入我的事业当中。

2. immune

adj.  免疫的;有免疫力的;不受影响的;免除…的;

[例句]This blood test will show whether or not you're immune to the disease.

这个血检会显示你是否对这种疾病具有免疫力。

3. impact

n.      影响;碰撞,冲击,撞击;冲击力;

vt.    撞击;挤入,压紧;对…产生影响;

vi.     产生影响;冲撞,冲击;

[例句]They say they expect the meeting to have a marked impact on the future of the country.

他们称他们预期会议对国家的未来会产生显著影响。

4. impair

vt.    损害,削弱;

[例句]Consumption of alcohol impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery.

饮酒会削弱你驾驶汽车或操控机器的能力。

5. impartial

adj.  不偏不倚的;无私的;公平的,公正的;持平;

[例句]As an impartial observer my analysis is supposed to be objective.

8. impulse

adj.   冲动的;

v.      推动;

[例句]Unable to resist the impulse, he glanced at the sea again.

他抑制不住冲动,又向海面瞥了一眼。

9. inaccessible

adj.  达不到的;难见到的;不能接近的;无法理解的;

[例句]The route took us through scenery quite inaccessible to the motorist.

这条路线带我们穿越了驾车者难以抵达的风景区。

10. incline

vt.    (使)倾斜,弄斜;(使)偏向,倾向于;(使)认为;点(头)(以示同意、打招呼等);

n.      倾斜;斜面;斜坡;坡度;

[例句]I incline to the view that he is right.

我倾向于认为他是正确的。

11. incorporate

vt.    包含;组成公司;使混合;使具体化;

vi.     合并;包含;吸收;混合;

[例句]The new cars will incorporate a number of major improvements.

12. incur

vt.    遭受;招致,引起;

[例句]The government had also incurred huge debts.

13. indignant

adj.  激愤;愤愤不平的;愤怒的,愤慨的;

[例句]He is indignant at suggestions that they were secret agents.

14. indispensable

adj.  不可缺少的;绝对必要的;责无旁贷的;不可避开的;

[例句]She was becoming indispensable to him.

15. induce
