A machine that can create any 3-D object out of plastic in a few minutes was unveiled at a trade fair in Las Vegas this week. To use this device, called the "Thing-O-Matic ", people must create or download a 3-D image on their computers, then transfer the image to the Thing-O-Matic. As the final step, the "Thing-O-Matic" heats plastic to 200 centigrades and squirts them onto a platform inside the machine, building up objects layer by layer.
一款可以在十几分钟内制作出任意3D塑料制品的新型机器本周亮相拉斯维加斯的一个贸易展。据了解，要想使用这款名为“自动之物”的机器，人们首先需要在电脑上绘制或者下载3D图像，然后将图片传至机器。作为最后一步，“自动之物”会将塑料加热至200摄氏度并喷射至机器内的操作台上，层层浇铸直至完成制作。
