A Croatian girl has woken up from a coma unable to speak her native language, talking instead in fluent German, local media reported.

The 12-year-old had been studying German at school, but her parents say she was previously unable to freely communicate in the language. Hospital staff have to use an interpreter to translate her words to her family.
