Hackers have forced the shutdown of South Korea’s presidential office Blue House, some government agencies and news media websites.
Yonhap News says the cyberattacks occurred today at around 9:30 am local time. Seoul issued a cyberattack alert warning officials and citizens to take security measures. It’s unclear who launched the attack. It comes on the 63rd anniversary of the start of the 1950-53 Korean War.
Last week, an international hacking group named Anonymous threatened to attack the DPRK’s government website on Tuesday.
