Hundreds of people have protested against Russian authorities at two separate rallies in Moscow. They clashed with police, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, during Sunday's demonstrations.

An unknown number of protesters were arrested at the rally in Pushkin Square.

Meanwhile, dozens of nationalists staged a separate demonstration at the headquarters of the Federal Security Service, demanding greater rights for ethnic Russians.

Those rallies followed Saturday's violent clashes between police and about 5-thousand soccer fans, after a supporter of Spartak Moscow Football Club was shot dead.

Gary Kasparov, Opposition Leder, said, "The authorities understand that the eternal fight against peaceful protesters can not end well. Yesterday we saw what happens when real mass disturbances and violence begin. I want to believe that Russian authorities still have some common sense."

Boris Nemtsov, Opposition Leader, said, "Of course, there's a threat to Russian unity. A conflict based on national enmity, which is apparent now, means the disintegration of our multi-ethnic nation. If we start beating one another and spilling blood, we'll be left without a country."
