He urged the people of the two countries to carry on the friendship forged by leaders of the older generation from both countries and make greater contributions to both countries' prosperity and to peace and stability of the region and of the world.
The delegation also visited the former site of the CPV headquarters.
Choe Chang Sik, minister of public health and chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, Ri Yong Chol, vice department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, Pak Jae Gyong, vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces, Kim Song Gi, vice-minister of foreign affairs ministry and other officials also attended the ceremony.
The Chinese delegation arrived in Pyongyang on Saturday for a four-day visit to attend the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the entry of the CPV into the Korean front.
