BEIJING, Feb. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Troubled U.S. actress Lindsay Lohan has to face the law again. She will be charged Wednesday with one count of felony grand theft in Los Angeles of California, according to a cnn report.

The Los Angeles District Attorney office confirmed the news. Lohan will be arraigned on the charge at local time 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Los Angeles Airport Superior Court, Deputy District Attorney John Lynch said.

The 24-year-old actress was accused of stealing a 2,500-dollar necklace from a Southern California jewelry store on January 22.

"The owner reported the theft to the Los Angeles Police Department, which investigated the allegation and presented evidence to the D.A.'s office last week."a statement from the district attorney's office said.

"We vehemently deny these allegations and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press," Lohan's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said last Saturday.

Lohan was just released from court-ordered drug rehabilitation five weeks ago and is still on supervised probation for her conviction for drunk driving.

The "Mean Girls" star is slated to appear back in court on February 25.
