A new TV series titled Guimi Jia Dao, or Best Friends' Marriage, is scheduled for broadcast on Hubei and Henan satellite channels this weekend.
It tells the story of two close girl friends who suddenly turn on each other as soon as they get married to two brothers.
Actor Zhu Yongteng, who portrays one of the brothers, describes his role with a sense of humor.
"I don't know if the playwright is jealous or something, a Prince Charming would usually walk a thorny path in pursuing his love, as I did in this drama. I keep pursuing my girl for more than a decade, spanning from college years to the years when she goes abroad to study and then gets employed. She still mercilessly rejects my wedding proposal."
Rising young actresses Sui Junbo and Hu Dandan co-star in the series.
