Newly-released figures show inflation in China is rising at a faster pace.

The consumer price index for October has increased by 2.1-percent year on year, representing the biggest monthly gain since July 2014.

The same figures also show the Producer Price Index, which measures prices at the factory gate, also increased in October, with the PPI gaining 1.2-percent.

This is the highest rate of growth in the PPI in 55-months, as the index just snapped a 4.5-year streak of declines through September.

For more on the numbers we're on the line with Cao Can, CRI Financial Analyst.
