FIFA Presidential candidate Gianni Infantino is rebuffing suggestions he might be willing to cut a deal to keep embattled Sepp Blatter as the head of FIFA.
"Definitely there was no deal done to make me General Secretary and him president. I mean it is quite the contrary, not the contrary, but it is a fact I am a candidate for the FIFA presidency and only candidate for the FIFA presidency. I am already Secretary General in UEFA so there is no way I am going to be general Secretary of FIFA, that is clear."
Infantino is one of 5 men standing to become the new head of Football's governing body.
The election to replace Sepp Blatter is set to be held on February 26th in Zurich.
