Top seed Serena Williams has made it to the 4th round of 2016 Australian Open after needing only 40 minutes to down Russia's Daria Kasatkina 6-1, 6-1.
"Yeah, I definitely think I played better today. Everything I've been trying to work on was kind of clicking today. I thought I played pretty well in the other matches. My first match I thought I gave a great effort. My second match I thought, under the circumstances, I thought I played well. Hopefully with each match I can just do better."
Former champion Maria Sharapova won her game against American Lauren Davis to set up a fourth round match with rising Swiss talent Belinda Bencic.
The win marks 28-year-old Sharapova's 600th on tour.
12th seed Bencic is the first player into the round of 16 after fighting back from a set down to overhaul Ukrainian Kateryna Bondarenko in three sets.
