China's men's squad is on its way home after a disappointing AFC Under-23 Championship in Qatar.
The squad heads back to China after dropping all three matches, going down to Iran 3-2 on Monday night.
"Actually, we were trying to pay more attention to how our players reacted to the ball in this match. We wanted to ensure that they kept their heads straight, and didn't give up. We wanted to make sure they put in a full effort, even though there was hope for us to advance. Iran played well, and it showed. Overall, as the coach, I take the responsibility," Head coach Fu Bo.
In other action, Qatar has managed to qualify for the knock-out stages, getting past Syria 4-2.
