World number eight Kei Nishikori of Japan has knocked out Jack Sock from the United States in three sets at the exhibition 'Maria Sharapova and Friends' tennis tournament in Los Angeles.
"It was really fun, he has a great forehand, it's tough always to make rallies with him, but I thought I played good tennis here and it was a little cold and windy conditions here, but it was fun on the court."
After the match, the Japanese tennis star spoke about his preparations for next season.
"No I just started, I started a week ago, so it's going to be two or three more weeks to have good training and good practice and I will go back to Florida after one week. So I am going to have to train hard."
The 25-year-old Nishikori also teamed up with tournament host Maria Sharapova in a doubles contest against Sock and Great Britain's Laura Robson.
However, rain stopped the contest early with no result declared.
