Poland's Katarzyna Niewiadoma took silver for road race in cycling on Saturday at the European Games in Baku.
The 20-year-old Niewiadoma offered these thoughts after the race.
"When you think that you can be here and fight for the medals and be one of the best in the world, then it makes you want to keep going, so I all the time I was thinking that 'you need to drink a lot, eat a lot, because it is so essential, especially in these conditions."
Belarussian Alena Amialiusik claimed the title and Dutchwoman Anna van der Breggen was third.
In shooting, Serbia's Damir Mikec clinched his second gold medal by winning the men's 50-meter pistol final.
Switzerland's Heidi Gerber Diethelm took the gold in the women's 25-meter pistol.
In artistic gymnastics, Aliya Mustafina of Russia won the women's individual all-around gold.
And the men's individual all-around gold went to Oleg Verniaiev of Ukraine.
