Englishman Tyrell Hatton carded a five-under-par round of 66 on Friday to sit at three-under after the second round of the Irish Open.
"I just hit it close and actually holed a couple of putts. I've been struggling with my putting recently. Well I feel like I've been hitting good putts just that they haven't been dropping and obviously holed a few today which was quite nice. Bit of a surprise to see them drop but always happy to see it."
Also at three-under-par and leading the pack are Austrian Bernd Wiesberger and Richie Ramsey of Scotland.
Elsewhere, Texan Jimmy Walker and first-round leader Steven Bowditch joined Jon Curran at 9-under atop the Byron Nelson Open.
Masters champion Jordan Spieth is three shots behind.
