Ahead of President Xi Jinping's upcoming visit to Kazakhstan on Thursday, the Chinese Ambassador to the central Asian nation says the countries have broad prospects for faster economic and trade cooperation.
"Currently, China and Kazakhstan are implementing a series of major projects, including capacity cooperation. China will export some factories, advanced equipment and manufacturing enterprises to Kazakhstan to build a relatively complete industrial base and industrial system through bilateral cooperation in the next five to ten years."
Ambassador Zhang Hanhui also reveals what the leaders will talk about during President Xi's visit.
"The leaders of the two countries will exchange opinions on urgent international and regional issues and deepening bilateral relations and cooperation, and draw a blueprint for the development of bilateral relations,"
Sino-Kazak relations reached a new level in September 2013, when the two sides pledged to build a community of common destiny and share interests.
China signed cooperation documents worth 14 billion U.S. dollars when Premier Li Keqiang visited Kazakhstan last year.
