The solar-powered airplane Solar Impulse is likely to take off from southwest China's Chongqing and head to east China's Nanjing next Tuesday for leg six of its attempt to fly around the world.
The plane has been parked in Chongqing for a couple of weeks due to crosswinds along the flight route that could be damaging to the plane.
It landed in Chongqing last month after 20 hours of flight from Myanmar.
The single-seater aircraft has no fuel on board and weighs around the same as a car.
The 17,000 solar cells built into the wings supply four electric motors with renewable energy.
It is expected to stop in 12 locations around the world.
