The implementation plan will include a detailed list of major infrastructure projects like railways, roads, energy, information technology and industrial parks to be initiated in coming years.
Authorities say the perceived interconnectivity across national borders is the focus of the "One Belt and One Road" initiative.

"One of the major contents of the strategic plan of "One Belt and One Road" is to build up modern interconnectivity. It's expected to link the west and east ends of Eurasia, bringing together the economic circles of Europe and East Asia, making their relationship much closer. It's also expected to boost growth of the vast region of Eurasia and further influence economies across Asia, Europe and Africa, eventually building up a unified Europe-Asia market."
The official adds that "belt and road" initiative aims to build an open, comprehensive and inclusive framework for regional economies.
Apart from infrastructure construction, the initiative also highlights the need to build software based on a well-designed mechanism for cross-border personnel exchanges.

As the number of major infrastructure projects could reach into the hundreds, observers say the benefits will spread to China's neighboring countries, as well as the whole of the Eurasian continent.
