An Egyptian court has adjourned the trial of two Al Jazeera television journalists until next week after hearing expert witnesses' testimony this week.

A committee of technical experts had testified in the journalists previous trial that Al Jazeera's reporting during the uprising while led to the ouster of Mohammad Morsi harmed Egypt's national security.

However, members of the same committee have since testified they had not seen all the video collected as evidence.

The pair standing on trial are Canadian reporter Mohamed Fahmy and Egyptian producer Baher Mohamed.

"Today, I think our biggest success is that the technical committee has collapsed and they have contradicted everything that they said in the sense that the head of the committee said he wasn't actually there for the viewing although he signed on the documents stating that the videos are against the national security of the country," said Baher Mohamed.

The two were arrested in December 2013, along with an Australian national Peter Greste working for Al Jazeera at the time. Mr. Greste has since been released and deported.

They are charged with aiding a terrorist organization, which is a reference to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Qatar-based Al-Jazeera has been accused of tailoring its reporting to support the Muslim Brotherhood.

They were released on bail last month after spending more than a year in detention.
