The polls have now closed in Israel in that country's parliamentary elections.

Incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is already claiming victory, even though exit polling is suggesting an extremely tight race between his Likud Party and the opposition Zionist Union.

One survey has both parties ending with 27-seats each in the 120-set Knesset.

"Likud. I think the whole team that's behind Likud is one that's comprehensive and can actually provide for not just the security but the financial aspect of this country."

"Because I believe we need something different from Bibi (Netanyahu). We think that Bougie (Herzog) will improve our future."

The Zionist Union, a coalition headed by Isaac "Bougie" Herzog and former Cabinet Minister Tzipi Livni are promising to revive peace talks with the Palestinians.

Netanyahu this week announced he will not support the creation of a separate Palestinian State.

Political observers in Israel are suggesting a pan-Arab coalition could end up being the "king maker" in parliament, as no party will win the 61-seats needed for an outright majority.

A coalition of four Arab factions have come together to court the normally-apathetic Arab electorate in Israel, which makes up close to 20-percent of eligible voters in Israel.
