China's top political advisory body has received over 400 proposals which lawmakers and political advisers will discuss at the upcoming two annual sessions in Beijing.
The two sessions are the meetings of the National People's Congress, NPC, the country's top legislature, and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, CPPCC, the top political advisory body.
Tian Jie is the deputy director of the proposal division of the National Committee of the CPPCC.
"The first category of proposals focuses on the overall situation of the country, including issues of the new normal of economic development, steady and healthy development of the economy, formulation of the 13th Five Year Plan, and implementing the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road Initiatives. Proposals also include coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and the construction of the Yangtze River economic belt."
Other proposals mainly center on topics of deepening reforms, promoting the rule of law, improving people's livelihood and strengthening China's social security system.
