Greece will not seek another bailout once the new bridge deal with international creditors expires in June.

Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Friday, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said the new government would proceed quickly to the implementation of reforms.

"The bailout agreements are over, both in form and in essence, even if that displeases unimaginably the opposition, who cannot live without them and try desperately to convince the public otherwise. What we have in front of us today is the requirement to begin the implementation of a series of sweeping reforms."

Next week the Left-led government coalition will table to parliament the first draft bills aimed to tackle the humanitarian crisis and address the problem of overdue debts to the tax office and pension funds.

On February 20, Greece agreed with euro group to a four month extension to the four-year bailout which expires on February 28.

The extension plan still needs to be ratified by eurozone members.

Earlier, clashes between police and protesters have taken place in Athens during anti-government demonstrations.

This is the first such disturbance since the Syriza was sworn in as the main government party a month ago.

The new government has promised to renegotiate the country's debt and end austerity.

Greek Communist Party members take part in a rally to protest against the recent agreement reached between Greece and the Eurogroup, at Syntagma Square, Athens, Greece, on Feb. 27, 2015. This is the first anti-government protest since ruling coalition party Syriza took power. The Communist Party accuses the government of extending the debt-hit country's bailout commitments.
