Tensions have heightened as troops from India and Pakistan continue to trade fire in the disputed Kashmir region.
At least a dozen people have been killed in the latest violence, which began on New Year's Eve.
On Monday, an Indian border guard was killed, while Pakistani officials say two women were killed.
Thousands of families in Indian-controlled Kashmir living along the border have been forced to flee their homes.
Indian officials say most of the estimated 10 thousand people who have fled are staying in government-run relief camps.
"There is firing going on in our village, we have to come here in the night, because our children and elders are finding it really difficult."
Troops on each side of the disputed territory have been targeting each other's outposts and frontier locations, endangering civilian lives in those areas.
The two countries often trade accusations about who is to blame for firing and shelling in the disputed region.
A ceasefire agreement signed in 2003 is constantly violated.
