Lebanese authorities have detained a woman and young boy believed to be the wife and son of the leader of the Islamic State.
DNA testing is taking place to determine if the child is that of Abu-Bakar al-Baghdadi.
The woman is being questioned.
If their identities are confirmed, it's being suggested Lebanon could use the pair as bargaining chips to win the release of Lebanese soldiers and police taken hostage by the Islamic State in cross-border attacks earlier this year.
The pair were taken into custody 10 days ago while travelling with fake ID cards.
So far the Islamic State has not commented on the reports.
