China and India are now reportedly working on feasibility studies to potentially build a 17-hundred kilometer high-speed railway between Delhi and the southern port city of Chennai.
The project was first suggested during the September trip to India by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The proposed project would be the world's second-longest high-speed rail-link after the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed connection.
The project would be worth some 3 billion US dollars.
