A Palestinian man has been shot dead by Israeli police after ramming a minivan into a crowded train platform and in east Jerusalem.
The motorist also attacked people with an iron bar after leaving the vehicle, killing one and injuring another 13 before being taken down by police.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu contends the attack has been incited by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
"This incitement has a practical manifestation on the ground. The car attack in Jerusalem is a direct result of Abu Mazen's incitement and of his Hamas partners."
Hamas has claimed responsibility for the attack.
It's the second assault of its kind in east Jerusalem over the past two weeks.
The attacks are said to be retribution for the Israeli decision to fast-track a thousand new Israeli settlement homes in East Jerusalem.
