Representatives from 40 different countries, including those neighboring both Iraq and Syria, have met in Berlin to discuss the growing refugee crisis in those countries.
More than 3 million people have already fled Syria because of lingering conflict in the country.
Most have moved into neighboring Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan.
Jordan alone is already home to 1.5 million Syrian refugees.
Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh,
"I keep saying that if the international community expects Jordan to shoulder this responsibility in its behalf, then the international community has to support Jordan in order to enable it to continue doing so."
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who hosted the session, has pledged at least 500 million euros worth of German assistance over the next three years.
Germany has taken in around 70-thousand Syrian refugees.
