At least 58 people are dead following a triple suicide bombing in the province of Diyala in Iraq.
"A car bomb exploded here at a checkpoint, killing or wounding several people. My son was seriously injured and is now in hospital. This is his vehicle, which was damaged in the attack."
The Islamic State is claiming responsibility, saying it was carried out by three foreign jihadists.
It comes as Iraqi security forces continue to battle for strategic control of certain areas of Iraq behind the U.S-led coalition airstrikes.
Heavy US airstrikes have been reported through the weekend in areas around 50-kilometers from Baghdad.
Meanwhile, a police chief in the western province of Anbar has been killed in a roadside bombing.
