The Chinese team collected a 3-0 win over Azerbaijan in their second match in the group.
China claimed their opening victory at the event on a high-note Tuesday with a 3-0 win over Puerto Rico.
Six teams are playing a round-robin in pool D, where the top-four finishers will qualify for the second stage of the 24-team World Championships.
The tournament ends on October 12.
