Investigators probing the crash of an Air Algerie jet in July that killed all 116 people on board have found no solid leads on the cause of the accident.
Bernard Boudaille is one of the investigators of the France's accident investigation authority, Enquiry and Analysis Bureau.
"Currently, on the strength of the data available to the commission from monitoring communications made between the listening centres, from the flight parameters which we know today, there is nothing that allows us to either confirm nor rule out that what happened was an act of terrorism."
He adds that the investigation will carry on and focus on collecting as much data as possible.
"So now the work is underway to try and understand what happened. Above all, to retrieve as much information as possible from the (flight data) recordings to be able to hear a message, to eventually be able to hear an alarm. But for sure, it seems difficult and we are working very hard on it. We have contacted numerous laboratories in order to retrieve as much data as possible from the recordings."
The jet crashed in Mali, shortly after take off from Ouagadougo, Burkina Faso, with 110 passengers and six crew members on board.
Nearly half of the dead were French.
