The Western Sydney Wanderers has upset Guangzhou Evergrande 1-0 in an ill-tempered AFC Champions League quarter-final clash in Australia.
Guangzhou boss Marcello Lippi's side applied pressure early but a shot by Danielo Gilardino was stopped by Western Sydney's goalkeeper at the 19 minute mark.
Just before the interval, Guangzhou was denied again.
Things then started to fall apart for the Chinese side during the second half.
Just before stoppage time, Guangzhou's Zhang Linpeng was shown a red card.
Then in stoppage time, Gao Lin was sent off for apparently stomping an opponent.
This made Lippi storm onto the pitch.
But the Wanderers scored and the match ended 1-0 for the home team, a major upset for the reigning Asian champions.
The two sides will meet again next Wednesday in Guangzhou.
