Alejandro Sabella still has offered no hint on his future with the Albiceleste at a special ceremony.
The manager is expected to make his decision by the end of the week.
His accomplishments, including leading Argentina to a World Cup final, have been recognized at the ceremony.
Sabella has spoken out against the criticism his captain Lionel Messi has received.
"I read a few things (in the media) where he was being criticized but I actually believe it is entirely the opposite. I believe that instead of criticizing his performance they should actually think of it as he was sacrificing for his team and that is something much greater. (Chelsea manager Jose) Mourinho has said the same thing."
Sabella lead his side to second place at the World Cup in Brazil, falling to Germany 1-0 in the final during extra time.
