Senior CPC official Li Changchun has now arrived in Nairobi for a visit to Kenya.
During his three-day trip, Li is scheduled to meet with Kenyan leaders, deliver a speech at Nairobi University, and attend the launching ceremony of the first-ever mobile newspaper in sub- Saharan Africa through the Xinhua news agency.
The Chinese side has been trying to develop a stronger cultural relationship with Kenya in recent years as well, with the two sides teaming up to excavate archaeological sites along the coast where it's thought ancient Chinese traders may have landed.
