He thrilled the world with his speed again and again. Last week in Berlin, the Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt broke two world records he set himself. In 200m, He ran in a time of 19.19sec that slashed 0.11sec off the time he set in Beijing last year. Earlier, he ran a time of 9.58sec to break his own 100m world record by exactly the same margin.

Since the American athlete Don Lippincott ran 10.6 seconds in 1912, the first world record in the 100m for men recognized by the International Amateur Athletics Federation, people's curiosity on who is the fastest man in the world and how fast can he run has never stopped.

In 1968, Jim Hines, also from the United States, became the first man to break the 10-second barrier in the 100m. Now with the extraordinary performance of Usain Bolt, the expectation for running faster is higher than ever.

So how fast can our human beings run? With the help of modern sports technology and training methods, how much more potentials can we squeeze from our bodies?
