广播听力：Chinese Official Chen Yunlin to Visit Taiwan

China's 'Taiwan Affairs office of the State Council' has announced that the Chinese mainland's most senior official, Chen Yunlin, Director of the 'Association for relations across the Taiwan straits', will visit Taiwan at the end of this year.

Yang Yi, a spokesperson for the 'Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council' made the announcement at a regular press conference on Wednesday.(Www.hxen.com)

"Director Chen Yunlin's visit to Taiwan is part of the established arrangements regarding consultations between the two organizations. All the topics that the consultation touches on are issues of great concern to our Taiwan compatriots. The consultation is actually trying to do useful and good things for the people across the straits, so I think the people of Taiwan will support and welcome the visit."

The spokesman elaborated that the two sides would also discuss topics such as direct sea transportation, cargo flights, the establishment of aviation routes and mail services.

Yang Yi added that the present cross straits conditions provided an environment in which both sides could resolve these issues.
