China's mainland exit-entry administrative authorities have begun to handle applications for Taiwan-bound tourism.
Shen Shunjin is an officer with the Administration of Exit and Entry of Beijing Public Security Bureau.
"Applicants from the Chinese mainland should come to the agencies and register for package tours. After that, they may apply for the travel visa with relevant documents such as ID cards and others."
The mainland sent its first tourist group to Taiwan after the first cross-Strait weekend charter flights were launched around ten days ago.(Www.hxen.com)
The island province is due to officially open its doors more widely to the mainland tourists this Friday, allowing up to 3,000 tourists a day.
