广播听力：Beijing Olympic flame arrives in Russia's St. Petersburg

The Beijing Olympic flame has arrived in Russia's second largest city to begin the third leg of its global tour.

The Olympic flame was flown to St. Petersburg onboard a chartered plane from Turkey's largest city, Istanbul.

Jiang Xiaoyu, the executive vice president of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games, gave his best wishes for the torch relay in the city.(www.hXen.com)

"I know that St. Petersburg is a city with a long history and much glory. I hope that the torch relay will extend both the friendship between China and Russia and the Olympic spirit as well."

Former Russian gymnastic champion Svetlana Khorkina wishes good luck for the upcoming Olympic Games.

"I hope the Beijing organizers will stage a successful Olympic Games, and I hope the world will remember the Beijing Olympic Games forever."

The Olympic torch relay in St. Petersburg will start on Saturday morning at Victory Square in the center of the city and will cover more than 20 kilometers. Each of the 80 torch bearers will carry the torch 250 meters.

The Olympic flame will fly to London on Sunday.
