广播听力：Thaksin: to Return to Thailand by Feb 14, No Intention to Involve in Politics

Thailand's Election Commission on Tuesday announced the official vote counting results of the Sunday's general election.

According to the results, the People Power Party won 233 of all the 480 parliament seats, while its main rival, the Democrat Party, gets 165 seats.

Meanwhile, the commission decided to disqualify three elected MP candidates of the People Power Party, on alleged involvement in vote-buying scam.

On the same day, ousted former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra gave a news conference in Hong Kong, saying "the election fully reflects Thai people's choice". Thaksin said that he hoped to return by Feb. 14, or April at the latest after Thailand's new government is in place. But he stressed that he has no intention to take any political position again:

"I will no take any political position except they want my ideas. And I will give my idea free of charge."

Sunday's general election in Thailand is the first since a military coup ousted elected Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in September last year and installed an interim government.
