China's Ministry of Labor and Social Security has released a regulation on recruitment which will will officially come into force starting January 1 next year.
The regulation says that contents that discriminate against certain job-seekers should not appear in recruitment advertisements, and employers should specify the remuneration for each position.
At the same time, the regulation redefines the criteria of a laid-off worker as an urban resident who has reached the working age permitted by law, has the ability to work and is unemployed but in need of work.

"Nowadays, the labor force flows frequently. There are many people working in Beijing but are not registered as Beijing permanent residents. The release of this new regulation can promote social development and regulate the labor market and labor flow."
The regulation also aims at improving the public employment services system specifying that public employment service bodies should not make profit from the public.
