But he said any deal should include the border wall, and the end of the chain immigration and diversity lottery programs: "I'm appealing to everyone in the room to put the country before party and to sit down and negotiate and compromise and see if we can get something done." The President also calling for a permanent spending bill, rather than another short term fix, before funding runs out next week.
